Introduction

The small village of Taurize sits among open countryside 10 min outside Lagrasse and 30 min south of Carcassonne.

This large family house has been completely renovated leaving many original features including beamed ceilings and wooden floors. Three bedrooms to sleep 8; two doubles and one family bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds. Two large family bathrooms.

Lovely views from the house and pool area. Private pool of 7 x 3.5m with courtyard dining area.

Bread van stops outside the house every morning ! Good local grocery store in neighboring village of Serviès (2 min). All shops and excellent restaurants in Lagrasse (10 min) and everything you will ever need in the fantastic, walled castle of Carcassonne (30 min).

Mediterranean beaches 50 min.

Local Information

The property is located in the small village of Taurize, 10 min from Lagrasse and 30 min south of Carcassonne.

Bread van comes every morning to the village. Good grocery store in neighboring village, Serviès, 2 min.

Lagrasse is a lovely town with excellent restaurants.

Carcassonne 30min for Ryanair airport, fantastic fortified city and cultural events, restaurants and golf.

Mediterranean beaches 50 min (Peyriac de Mer) which stretch from Montpellier down to the Spanish border. Wonderful sandy beaches with tasteful entertainments and beachfront restaurants and cafés. The 'Etang de L'Ayrolle' offers some of the best windsurfing in Europe.

Wine tasting everywhere, numerous private caves and roadside vendors. Beautiful vineyards (Corbieres, Minervois and Fitou) and impressive valleys and rivers. Visit the town of Limoux for its famous sparkling wine.

Don't miss the Canal du Midi for walking and cycling. Lake swimming and rafting just north of Carcassonne. Enjoy the natural springs at Aix-les-Bains and treat yourself to an extravagant lunch across the Spanish border. Or venture to Barcelona (2hrs 30 mins) for a long weekend.

Fantastic and spectacular scenery along the Cote Vermaille and the lovely beach resorts and harbour at Collioure and Banyuls.
